gentle deep cleansing for oily skin

ПовідомленняАвтор

I have combo skin that leans oily in summer, and my pores around my cheeks are huge – like, you can see them from a foot away. I've done microdermabrasion and chemical peels before, but they always make me flaky and red for days. Is HydraFacial gentler while still being effective for deep cleansing? I need something that won't make me look like a tomato for a week, but I also want that squeaky-clean feeling. Can it really reduce pore size permanently or is it just a temporary fix?

RE: gentle deep cleansing for oily skin

HydraFacial is significantly gentler than microdermabrasion or strong chemical peels because there's no abrasive crystal or harsh acid left on the skin for long periods. It uses a mild glycolic/salicylic blend that's immediately vacuumed away, so you get the exfoliation without the prolonged irritation. Most people just have a slight pinkness that fades within an hour. For pore size, it's important to manage expectations – it doesn't physically shrink pores (that's genetic), but it cleans out the gunk that stretches them, so they appear smaller and tighter. With regular treatments, that effect can last quite a while, but you'll need maintenance every 4-6 weeks.

RE: gentle deep cleansing for oily skin

I've tried both microdermabrasion and peels too, and I totally get the redness fear. HydraFacial was a game-changer for me because I could go to brunch right after without looking like a disaster. The deep cleansing is real – my pores looked empty for the first time in years. But the 'permanent' part depends on how consistent you are. I go every 5 weeks, and my pores have stayed visibly smaller for over a year now. It's not a one-and-done deal, but it's worth it for the lack of downtime. This resource really broke down the difference for me: https://bellasanamedspa.com/blog/hydrafacial-for-oily-skin-deep-cleansing-and-reducing-enlarged-pores. It's not about shrinking pores magically – it's about keeping them clean so they don't look huge.
